Position Summary
1. Provide the whole China Legal Department with legal assistance on day to day legal matters and issues including: analysing legal material, maintaining records, documents and case logs, conducting research, collect and analyse materials for special cases
2. Assist China Legal Counsels to be involved in preliminary drafting, reviewing and amending of contracts, memos, and other legal documents.
3. Under the instruction of China Legal Counsel, help do liaison work among Avon parent entities and China legal entities, and various local government authorities in the government regular inspection & supervision on Avon business in China, such as providing Board Resolution, AA, Business License or Tax Certificate etc. of the above entities to the relevant authorities.
4. Help maintain all trademark files and IP records and advise China Marketing on trademark or brand name choice and application;
5. Assist China Legal Counsels in Avon China counterfeiting infringement issues.
6. From time to time as needed, provide back-up coverage for Legal Department secretary’s administrative work such as arranging con-call or meeting, document printing, copy, chop affixing, document delivery, preparing meeting memo, fee and expense report handling etc.;

Job Requirements
1. Having China Bar is preferred but not required;
2. Knowledgeable of various laws in China;
3. Good written and oral communications;
4. Flexible in responding to job demands.
5. Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a team member.
6. Highest standards of business ethics.
7. Good English speaking and writing.
