JOB FUNCTION
This position is accountable for the effective direction and coordination of all production, maintenance, quality assurance and logistic operations at the Shanghai Plant.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
?Directs and coordinates production and maintenance operations; delegates day-to-day activities to staff; follows up to ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, schedules, specifications, and production standards; reviews and evaluates performance of key personnel.
?Trains and develops key personnel through counsel and advice and stimulates them to sound and constructive thinking in solving problems; interprets and administers plant policies. Constantly encourages, by all available means, the establishment and improvement of favorable employee relations.
?Directs staff to maximize plant operations and to identify opportunity for cost reduction, quality improvement, and utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
?Stimulates cost consciousness among organization.
?Identifies and follows through on product, process, and service improvements. Recommends and informs the vice president of Asia of significant actions planned.
?Associates with customers and suppliers in quality issues through formal programs of visits, meetings, and action plan completions.
?Direct plant organization's efforts in effectively complying with air and water pollution control; safety and health legislation; and 8 steps safety process.
?Provides leadership of safety process that contributes to creating an accident free environment.
?Responsible for developing annual manufacture budgets for approval. Individual is responsible for adherence to these budgets.
?Responsible for setting local goals that aligns with the annual corporate objectives of COMPANY.
?Responsible for Lean Project of COMPANY.
