PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
The Marketing Specialist will develop and manage all aspects of the agreed internal and external marketing communications plan for Asia. The specialist will examine and analyze the company's target markets and regional strategies and plans, and recommend ways in which the marketing and communications functions can be used as a growth tool.
TECHNICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. In partnership with the Product Management team and Asian Sales Team, develop and implement a marketing strategy/plan, Asia messaging and communication that is aligned with overall growth objectives
2. Create and manage all Asia communications activities: media relations, press releases, internal communication and liaise with Connectivity Solutions for government relations and corporate social responsibility.
3. Develop and formulate a comprehensive marketing plan for Asia. Responsibilities include gathering information, reviewing current strategies, new product development promotion and advertising.
4. Establish, manage and optimize an Asian marketing and communications budget aligned to the overall global marketing plan.
5. Work closely with the business unit leadership team; create a strong internal communications focus for the business. Develop regular employee communications that relay business strategy and how they contribute to the overall success of the business.
6. Put in place metrics and analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.
7. Support implementation of the distribution marketing strategy and plan, working closely with our distribution and channel partners to achieve maximum exposure for the brand.
8. In collaboration with the IT team, develop strategies and execute a comprehensive web-based communications program for the business unit in Asia.
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establish objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities. Conduct reviews of proposals, and endorse or revise them prior to making recommendations regarding their implementation, ensuring that they support the overall business
2. Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
3. Select and maintain qualified project leads. Establish and maintain positive working relationships within assigned teams and with all the company's departments, customers and vendors.
4. Provide training and mentoring for lean project participants and ensure that the authority and responsibility for each position are defined and understood.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assume other projects and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor's Degree (MBA preferred) in marketing, business or technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Five years' progressively responsible marketing experience in a manufacturing environment,
? English language written and spoken
? 1-2 years supervisory experience
? Project management skills required

? Ability to understand, implement and/or mentor others in ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
? Ability to use tools techniques and skills effectively, efficiently and in accordance with ergonomic principles.
? Proficiency in MS Office and other software as required, and ability to perform math calculations, measurement, analysis and reporting as required.
? Proficiency in marketing support software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite / Illustrator

? Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately orally, in writing or electronically.
? Ability to communicate work progress and changes as required.
? Ability to work collaboratively with remote teams and management

? Ability to apply interpersonal skills (empathy, negotiation, rapport, sensitivity), to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
? Ability to recruit, mentor and/or motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth, and to organize, plan, delegate and prioritize work.
