Overall Purpose of Job
This should be a broad overview of this position's function. Include the overall scope of the position and the authority this position possesses in terms of programs/ projects/ operations and establishing policy.
· Responsible for major problem solving within company including customer quality issues, manufacturing quality issues, warranty failure, etc. Other responsibilities include handling and methodology for all AP manufacturing and AP customer OEMs, and working with plant cross functional teams to identify root cause and generate long term corrective solution for any major quality problem.
· Being the problem solving expert of six sigma Master Black Belt includes the responsibility to lead, drive and champion on professional problem solving methodology, promote and mentor on all skills & tools, teach, coach, mentor and develop local staffs problem solving capability and competency
Major Responsibilities
List the major responsibilities and accountabilities of this position. Include quantifiable data where appropriate (i.e. budget dollars, etc.)
· Be responsible for manufacturing & customer quality problem solving and improvement activity for AP site and all customer OEMs,
· Work with plant cross functional team to identify root cause and generate corrective action plan, fully communicate with customer for major customer quality issue
· Lead and drive on lessons learned and conduct best practices sharing cross the region
· Lead and drive on problem solving methodology system & process building up, training, execution and implementation.
· Lead and conduct customer quality improvement workshop to improve plant quality to exceed customer expectations.
· Push and drive on product/ process design modification, follow up and effective verification
l Teach, coach, mentor, develop local staffs capability & competency on problem solving methodology

Education & Work Experience

Experience:
· Minimum 8-12 years working experience in engineering product/process design, manufacturing, engineering application, quality assurance function in automotive industry;
· Minimum 3-5 years engineering, quality, ... problem solving manager level working experience in International Automotive industry;
· Very familiar with automotive product design and manufacturing process for safety products-seat belt, airbag, ABS, braking/ Actuation product, electronic process product, Steering product/ process... experience;
· Strong professional problem solving capability on Six Sigma problem solving skills & knowledge with certified Master Black Belt certification... required.
