Position Summary
The Senior Tourism Planner is responsible for the development of solutions to policy and physical planning
problems. This position is expected to lead medium to large size projects and supervises a team of staff.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provides project management for medium to large scale projects, including budget management,
ensuring deadlines are met, client management, staff coordination and management, and delivery of the final product.
2. Completes planning assignments by applying standardized techniques on portions of a project. May
delegate this work to others.
3. Plays a key role in the preparation of plans and renderings.
4. Responsible for the completion of tourism planning reports and policy documents for clients.
5. Conducts site feasibility studies.
6. Compiles data and conducts research in support of project delivery.
7. Prepares documents to obtain necessary permits.
8. Leads the production of client material for public hearings or meetings.
9. Represents AECOM with clients and in the community, including attending meetings both inside and
outside the firm pertaining to existing and potential projects.
10. Leads marketing efforts for potential projects.
11. Identifies future business growth opportunities.
12. Ensures that projects are executed properly, including assigning resources as necessary.

Job Requirements
1. Master's or Bachelor's degree in Tourism Planning or Regional Planning or closely related fields.
2. Generally requires at least 5+ years of related experience as a tourism planner or in a similar capacity.
3. Know the policies, regulations and methodology of tourism planning in China very well, having good experience in tourism planning and master planning.
4. Strong staff management experience, including experience leading medium to large size teams.
5. Strong business development and marketing skills.
6. Extensive experience in financial and budget management, including ensuring that budgets stay on track.
7. Strong project management skills.
8. Strong attention to detail.
9. Excellent organizational skills.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
