Product Development Team Leader

Working Location:
Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province
Summary of Client:
Our client is a Swiss WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) in Shenzhen. Employees are more than 1500 people. She focuses on the manufacture and development of all kinds of household appliances, such as coffee machines, steam irons, blenders etc.
Reporting Lines:
Report to: Assistant Manager-Product Development
Subordinates: 5 Engineers -Product Development
Job Summary:
Lead a R&D team finish the assigned task with high quality according to the request.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strictly compliance with department working rules.
2. Working strictly according to department head or other superior person demands.
3. Strictly execute 6S.
4. Lead five & six engineers to finish the product design.
5. Responsible for communication with customer and share the information with members, and solve the technology problem of team product.
6. Make sure product design proceeding as schedule and meet customer requirement.
7. Responsible for management team product design & schedule monitoring work, and develop appropriate contingency measures.
8. Coordinate the communication between team members and other department.
9. Coordinate and lead team members to analyze & solve the problem during design process.
10. Responsible for checking team drawings & documents to ensure that meet company’s requirements.
11. Assist skill training of team members.
12. Responsible for evaluating supplier’s equipment, process capacity & quality.
13. Provide information and assist production & quality department to finish production & inspection work.
14. Finish other task assigned by department head.
Job Requirements:
Education:
1. Bachelor degree in engineering field.
Working Experience:
1. At least 6 years successful product development experience in related appliance industry.
Competency/Skills required
1. Very good experience in construction of mechanical mechanisms.
2. Solid professional knowledge.
3. Fluent in English, good German language skills would be advantageous.
4. Excellent leadership & coordination skills, excellent execution.
5. Good knowledge in UG 6.0.
