POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose
To facilitate, instruct, support entities located in North & West China, which Air Products fully controlled, majority owned or minority owned but operated by Air Products, maintenance EH&S system, measurement and improvement the EH&S performance and help plant to keep their EH&S performance as a leader in industrial.
Nature and Scope
The Job Holder is a H&S Expert and a member of the China EH&S organization. The position reports country field H&S Leader. The position is directly responsible to facilitate the implementation of China Laws & Regulations and AP EH&S standards/policies and global EH&S best practices in all activities – administrative, operations, engineering, etc. The assigned places will be located in Tianjin. Ultimate measures of success for this position are attainment of EH&S goals and alignment with business development goals.
The Job Holder is one of facilitation as our AP philosophy is that line management is primary responsible for EH&S. However, Line Management counts heavily on the passionate support given to the EH&S effort by the incumbent. The incumbent must drive the EH&S process personally through Line Management. Technical and managerial requirements are high.

The Job Holder must cost effectively coordinate the use of Air Products and Contractor EH&S resources to support the North & West China EH&S continuous improvement.
The Job Holder requires the incumbent to have thorough knowledge of the nature of AP production operation and Supply operations and AP EH&S standards/policies.
The job Holder facilitates Compliance Manager, Event Manager, BSP and APSAM in AP North & West China.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Facilitate annual Safety Improvement Plans and their successful execution.
Train operation, contractor and customer in AP EH&S policies/standards/global best practices and
facilitate their use.
Support Line Management in continuously improving EH&S performance while concurrently meeting business goals.
Coordinate cost-effectively EH&S support from AP and contractors.
Facilitate annual setting of EH&S Key Performance Indicators and instruct AP EH&S tools.
Promotes compliance to “Responsible Care” and participates in local activities.
Communicate and deal with local government for Environment, Safety, Health issues
Any other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Job incumbent is expected to have BS in Chemical Engineering or EH&S.
Job incumbent is expected to have minimum 5 years in chemical operations related activities. Hands-on field experience in operations and/or EH&S areas, experience in companies with excellent EH&S performance/culture desirable.
Job incumbent is expected to have good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm about his/her mission; Good communication skills and team work spirits. Local Language, written and speaking English skills required.
