Accountabilities

1. Develop BFB test and optimize efficient techniques and protocol, carry out seed health test including BFB, bioassay and virus test.
2. Establish BFB test lab, purchase equipment, materials, chemicals.
3. Implements and recommends the best test practice for the PCR and sweat box test of BFB.
4. Collect and analyze test data, evaluate test results, generate reports and input results into Foundation system in time to support seed sale.
5. Communicate with QC team, global PPT, and other Syngenta lab to ensure the best test practice and techniques are implemented for BFB test
6. Communicate with Planning, Production and other related peer to support rapid sale growth and seize growth opportunity.

Critical knowledge
1. Bachelor’s degree and above in plant protection, seed health or related field.
2. Knowledge and experience in plant PCR, Elisa test. Experience in seed health test is plus.
3. Proven ability to work independently as well as cross functionally with diverse personals.
4. Ability to solve complex problems, deliver quality results on time to meet timelines.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and team oriented.
6. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
7. Good computer skills, especially in using Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Critical experience
1. Knowledge and experience in plant PCR, Elisa test. Experience in seed health test is plus
