This role follows and understands the different Chinese digital ecosystems and platforms that are relevant to Scania’s industry in particular or B2B, manufacturing or transport in general.
This roll will follow the whole digital landscape with a five to ten year time horizon and lead and participate in both research and innovation projects.
The position acts in close collaboration with Scania’s local and global digital experts, and acts cross-functional/across departments within Scania. Since digital platforms and eco systems is a wide scope with many stakeholders there will be a lot of different teams and stakeholders involved both from HQ and locally in China.
This position is responsible for feeding the bigger perspective to different parts of Research & Innovation in China and globally.
Other main stakeholders can be found in relevant parts of Industrial Operations in China, our connected services teams, our connectivity teams and our digital teams in Sweden and globally.
Ongoing tasks include discover, track, follow and analyse trends and industry news. Prepare and contribute to presentations and spreading the word from our digital forefront in China.
This position is also the first point of contact for all colleagues looking to understand the past, present and future of digital in China.
Since this role is leaning towards both research and innovation it contains, besides the technical and functional aspects of digital, a wide array of business development and understanding of new business models.
This role includes of leadership, leadership in the subject matter, leading yourself and leading others that sometimes are not 100% convinced about the way forward.
Since the Research & Innovation team in China is small and still finding our direction all our positions include supporting with various other tasks and small projects that keeps building our success story.
Professional Competencies (Duties and Tasks)
UNDERSTAND NEW TRENDS:Investigate and provide outstanding material, that describes the business side as well as the technical/functional side of digital, to relevant stakeholders within Scania.
FOLLOW THE DIGITAL INDUSTRY:Collect, digest, distribute and follow up the current digital landscape in China.
ANALYZE ECOSYSTEMS AND PLATFORMS:Analyze and recommend how Scania best should integrate with the digital ecosystems and platforms in China.
INNOVATION:Actively seek, participate in, start and lead innovation projects with relevant external and internal parts of Scania.
REPORT PROFICIENTLY:Report progress transparently with high standards to all relevant stakeholders within Scania.
RELATIONSHIPS:Developing lasting relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
STRATEGY:Develop and maintain a long term, strategic digital roadmap for Scania in China, keep it in sync and integrate it with relevant parts of the rest of Scania.
Experience and qualifications:
? B.Sc or M.Sc in a relevant area or similar work experience
? 5-10 years of experience of leading digital product development, preferably with a mix of technical and business or similar
? Deep knowledge of Chinese digital ecosystems and platforms and trends.
? Understanding of the different important ecosystems and platforms for the transport industry.
? Seasoned net-worker.
? Documented experience from leading others and yourself
? You have the ability to understand complex matters and complicated organizations.
? Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
? Ability to package and convey complex and complicated topics in a clear and understandable way
? Make descriptions, interpretations and explaining the digital industry to relevant departments, that not always have a digital understanding.
? Experience of new, agile ways-of-working and from inventing new ways-of-working.
? Used to working according to agile frameworks and methodologies (experience from SAFe is a plus)
? Wide experience from communicating your results in a clear way, both verbally and through writing and pictures, in English and Chinese (sometimes at the same time).
? Experience from multi-national business environment with a cultural mix
