Your challenge
Assure that quality systems of suppliers meet Purchasing Controls requirements from Philips; scope of activities include all Quality Management relevant Purchasing Controls processes, systems and procedures, as well as Q&R processes indirectly related to Purchasing Controls like SCAR and audit. Suppliers in scope include quality-relevant suppliers of specified components, spare parts, assemblies, contract manufacturers and OEM manufactured devices, software, services, logistic providers, third-party manufacturers and consultants. Participate in the development of suppliers’ Quality Assurance processes to ensure compliance to all customers that Philips Service & Solutions delivery serves. Supplier Quality is accountable and responsible for conducting supplier audits, performance monitoring, supplier development and supporting notified body inspections.
Your responsibilities
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Set Quality system requirements to suppliers, including those for services, indirect quality relevant purchases (non-BOM)
Perform Qualification of suppliers to medical device standards and oversee their placement on the Approved Supplier List (ASL), including audit of Supplier Master File
Conduct and oversee supplier audits- qualification and re-qualification, including finding closure
Collect, trend and report supplier quality metrics
Support of projects which have a relation towards the Repair and Spare parts organization
Improve/develop quality systems at selected suppliers for QMS and compliance improvement
Develop purchasing controls processes and procedures, including those for BOM, non-BOM, services, spare parts
Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of purchasing controls and supplier quality processes and procedures, including Quality Agreements
Assist in preparation for Purchasing Controls inspections by external agencies or internal Philips audits
Develop and deliver training to internal teams and suppliers on Philips Purchasing controls processes and procedures
Support as a Subject matter expert the Supplier Quality related processes towards projects (internal/ external projects). Risk management, purchasing controls.
Service Part Qualifications (Advanced Project Quality Planning, APQP)
Your team
You will be a part of the Service & Solutions Delivery Supplier Quality team consisting out of professionals supporting all Healthcare businesses and as such contribute in improving the lives of 2.5 billion people a year by 2030. In your role you will support the Service Part Supply Chain (SPS) and Repair Sustainability Services (RSS) organization which is part of S&SD. The Supplier Quality team is located in the AMEC, EMEA and APAC region.
We are looking for
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Higher level of technical education (e.g., BS Mech. Engineering or equivalent);
Knowledge of medical device regulations, e.g., ISO13485, 21CFR820, EU Medical Device Regulations, other global equivalent
Requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related work experience.; cross-industry experience a plus
(e.g., automotive, aerospace)
Experience in product/process development and/or supplier quality improvements;
Experience in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action methods
Expertise/experience in problem solving with quality tools such as:
6-sigma / 8-D / CAPA / FMEA/ 5WHY etc.
Good knowledge of production/quality development and control methods;
Auditing skillsets, up to and including certified lead auditor;
Ability to read and understand engineering drawing notation, tolerances, specifications
Travel up to 25-30%
Experience with Software Databases and excellent MS office skills
