SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position to is provide customers software services – including software design, configuration/programming/coding, testing/debugging, deployment, troubleshooting and recovery - in industrial environment, as well as customer training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for resolving customers software application issues, allowing customers to maintain and improve their system.
• Collect and understand demands, responsible for design, developing, testing and deploying customers software applications per specifications.
• Work extensively in software environment based on IT infrastructure (Operation System, Network, Server/Client, Server/Browser, Virtualization, Database etc.) as well as automation control based on OT infrastructure (PLC, Drive, Smart Industrial Component, Electronic Operator Interface, Industrial Control Network etc.).
• Supply good paperwork of services and projects, including service report, project design document and as-built document, ensure all related documents are well prepared, developed and submitted.
• Good communication with internal and external customers on service and project relevant maters – schedule, plan, progress, feedback, follow-up and escalation.
• Responsible for customer training conduction in relevant projects or services.
• Work on customer sites or Rockwell Automation offices based on jobs nature, travel can vary on assignment but at least 50%.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT:

• Major in electrical engineering/automation engineering/computer science/computer engineering/information system engineering with minimal bachelor education experience. Higher level of education will be considered dependent on postgraduate experience.
• Minimal 3-5 years of work experience.
• Experience in design, implementation and troubleshooting of industrial process/automation system, knowledge of manufacturing control system and information system with core tools such as logic controllers, historical database, relational database, industrial IoT system and MES system.
• Experience in design, configuration, development, installation and administrating Microsoft Windows Server, Web-based applications, relational database and open-source projects.
• Work effectively in language of C/C#/VB/Java/Java Script/Python, database of SQL Server/SSRS/OSISoft PI/Oracle/Postgres.
• Understand .NET framework, networking, VMWare environment, mobile platforms, devices & security (Windows Mobile, Apple iOS, Android)
• Experience in Rockwell Automation industrial advanced software – FactoryTalk View Point / FactoryTalk Historian / FactoryTalk VantagePoint / FactoryTalk Transaction Manager / FactoryTalk Metrics / FactoryTalk AssetCentre
• Has a continuous improvement attitude, a quick learner for new technologies.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in reading and writing English, good listening and spoken English as a plus
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Able and willing to travel frequently and work in site environment with long term
