1. WORK RELATIONSHIP

1. Direct report to: Industry manager in China
2. Main interface:
Internal: R&D, Purchasing.
External: 1st tier supplier/2rd tier suppliers

2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Take the technical owner for repeat tooling release, secure the repeat tooling released on time to fulfill volume increasing
2. Support buyer to evaluate if tooling repeating is reasonable and indispensable with on-site analysis on current supplier's tooling status
3. Repeat tooling schedule review, Design and fabrication progress follow up with the supplier, FAI / CPK/reliability test/MFA report check and approval
4. Support optical Engineer to do optical test for optical part, combine the conclusion into the repeat tooling release report
5. Publish the repeat tooling release report to all stakeholders.
6. Support SQE/PE to solve tooling related problem in production after MS3
7. Support R&D Mechanical Engineer on new project tooling release, including:
· Take the lead about DFM of the tooling of mechanical parts together mechanical designer from R&D, set up DFM checklist
· Build up Mechanical part design guideline which can be used by mechanical engineers when they design the part.
· Build up Tooling design guideline /check list which tooling supplier should follow up when they design the tooling.
· Tooling development process follow up
8. Responsible for tooling management (includes new project tooling) after released, including
· Build up the database of tooling information together Purchasing team, set up the reporting system and KPI for the tooling status & progress
· Manage tooling suppliers to achieve KPI targets, tooling maintenance/scrap as the process agreed by Philips.

3. MAJOR CHANLLENGES
1. Co-work with R&D and tooling supplier to secure ME part/tooling designed and released to fulfill
GBU LED Lamp business requirement
2. Manage a large number of tooling after released effectively and efficiently.

4. REQUIREMENTS

· BSc/MSc in ME, preferably 2-5 years of practical experience.
· The candidate has a mechanical back-ground with knowledge of material properties, tooling and has demonstrated a great drive for getting things done, on-time.
· The candidate should be familiar with mechanical design software, like UG.
· The candidate should be familiar with development quality tools to ensure the quality of design
· Good command of the English language in both speaking and writing is a must.
· Sense of urgency and high resilience level
· Strong execution and ability of driving for result
· Ability to work under stress and ambiguity
