The Solutions Consultant is a customer-facing role providing insights and expertise to create and develop Informatics solutions for our customers. The role may act in both a pre-sales and post-sales capacity as needed to facilitate customer conversations on how Philips may positively impact the clinical environment through our Informatics solutions and services.

Solutions Consultants should be strong in their knowledge of clinical workflow and use that knowledge to optimize through consulting with the customer’s environment, defining and implementing improvements to the customer environment through the use of Philips solutions. Consultants are responsible for the functional and clinical content associated with the customer environment and how our Informatics offerings apply. He/She supports clinical workflow optimization through mapping the user-IT requirements onto the IT possibilities using Philips global and local solutions. If required, he/she supports the detailed workflow transformation for the customer environment.


Key Areas of Responsibility
• Translates customer requirements into Informatics solutions, in accordance with the clinical workflow and IT strategy, in order to specify the Informatics projects and services
• Analyzes clinical workflows and formulates proposals for Informatics solutions and accompanying frames and work method
• Leads project discovery and delivery in order to guarantee an effective solution design, development and deployment of solutions into the customer environment
• Actively engaged in the implementation of the chosen Informatics solutions when necessary, providing leadership in terms of key decisions for the success of the project
• Advises Clinical and IT Management through mapping the user requirements and workflow decision and how the Informatics solution could be used to improve the clinical outcome
• Develops and provides required user training for the implemented Informatics solution


Main experiences and requirements for the role
• Experience in clinical and technology aspects of healthcare IT
• Experience in at least one of the following clinical settings: Radiology, Cardiology, Critical Care, EMR
• Experience in defining business problems in healthcare and able to clearly articulate the customer’s needs in the form of clinical workflow and information needs
• Experience in working in project teams and in the crafting of customer solutions
• Able to lead workshops and projects in customer engagements
• Able to articulate clinical best practices to clinical personnel in a way that invokes trust in the individual and in Philips as a partner
• At least Bachelor degree level in a medical or technology field or equivalent experience
• Preferable to have exposure of software solutions and solution-selling methods
