• Provide general legal support and advice to business and operation teams as well as other supporting teams, e.g. HR, F&A, Marketing & Communication, etc.
• Draft, review and negotiate various contracts and legal documents
• Work with business partners at all levels to address issues and risks
• Risk assessment and mitigation to gain greater commercial benefits and ensure the company is protected legally
• Assist implementing the company’s business strategy and policies
• Work with external counsels on arbitration and litigation cases
• Work on other legal matter as assigned by Chief Legal Counsel of PRC

Requirements:

• Over 4 years post qualification experience in a law firm or in an in-house legal team of a multinational company
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and able to work as a good team player with positive attitude
• Excellent attention to details
• Embrace a fast-paced working environment and able to cope with changes and react immediately to instructions and ability to multi-task
• Mature and pleasant, with good interpersonal skills
• Well-organized, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to interact and collaborate with a diverse group of individuals in addressing cross jurisdictional issues.
• Background or experience in working for construction or engineering industry would be a bonus including advising on claims involving variations, delay and disruption etc and advising on JVs
• Experience in providing advice concerning tender processes in the PRC required
• Experience in overseeing ethics and compliance matters is desirable
