PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Shopper Development Executive reports to the Shopper Development Manager and is responsible for developing and managing national customer strategies and the 5P tactics for each of their retail environments they manage based on shopper and trade expertise. The person mainly interacts with Consumer Marketing, Customer Management and Finance to ensure the strategy is cohesive with the Commercial and Financial goals of the company. |
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. RE Go to Market Strategy: Must define the RE and how it is different to other REs. Must then define the GtM, SKUs, promotions and price strategy for this RE in co-ordination with Consumer Insights, Customer Marketing and Customer Management Teams. 2. Leading shopper insight development and application by channel: Develops specific shopper insights that enable the Customer Management Team to create the capability to win with the specific shoppers in each RE. 3. Objective setting, activity coordination, Channel spending and results tracking: Coordinating the planning and execution of channel and account activities and communicating plans to the relevant channel/account/geographic teams and Customer Management on time and accurately. Setting and tracking business and spending results and communicating to senior management. 4. Commercial Drive: Responsible for identifying and securing the support their RE requires achieving undisputed share leadership. |
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING: Guidance received: National Customer Marketing Director, Channel Development Manager, Consumer Marketing and Customer Management Complexity of analysis: Needs to understand Retail environment, Colgate CM5P Strategy, competitive trends and strategies, resources allocation analysis. Impact of decisions: Delivers RE/Channel sales target and 5P goals. Special environments/conditions: Based in Guangzhou (HQ) and able to frequent travel & work in the field. |

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE Education: University Degree Experience: 3+ years of business experience, minimum 2 years Field Sales management positions. FMCG will be preference.
