• Implements the company strategic direction into development teams globally for the product group. Integrate engineering efforts with sales and marketing to identify, evaluate, and establish product directions in support of the company strategic business growth and product strategies.
• Cascade company vision/mission beliefs, behaviours and safety vision to reporting teams globally and acknowledge team members evidencing support.
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing functions to develop and execute go-to market strategies.
• Utilize the product and process roadmap planning to guide development toward commercial opportunities.
• Development and justification of budgets for approval, and execution for the cost effective management of the department to achieve the business operating objectives established for the year.
• Manages and develops the engineering teams and ensuring global alignment across the globally located product group teams.
• Continually seeks improvements in the process, tools and engineering methods for possible integration into the approved processes.
• Create career development paths for engineering teams with focus on succession planning within the engineering organization.
• Discover and implement new technologies to generate competitive advantages for the company. Drives team to be highly creative and well versed in technology trends. Ensures the use of a proper evaluation and selection process to do this.
• Provide senior product mentorship to staff to develop robust engineering practices and team development.
• Ensures all needed compliance and audit deliverables are met.
