In this role, you have the opportunity to

The Technical Consultant (TC) is responsible for following defined procedures and methodologies to install, configure, test, maintain and support hardware, software and network solutions, including problem identification, system architecture definition / specification, implementation, basic integration, validation and verification testing, customer education, solution activation, and system restoration.

The Technical Consultant works with a variety of customers across the globe to conceptualize, design and optimize Philips solutions with the aiming for customer success. Designing for these unique environments requires strong, proven design talent and a deep knowledge of technical and customer best practices in a variety of environments. This position is very important to ensure project delivery and technical support, and is playing a very important role in the growth of Philips solution business.

You are responsible for

  • Scope, design, build, deploy and/or integrate solutions
  • Fulfill hardware, software and network implementation deliverables such as detailed design documentation, system build, configuration and testing
  • Analyze the unique business, technical and clinical customer requirements to design, build and/or integrate the most appropriate solution
  • Base on customer requirements, serve as a consultant to provide technical recommendations that best suit the environment
  • Mentor and train customers to maintain their systems
  • Be a customer advocate and leverages insights to drive product decisions
  • Resolve technical issues and offer proactive technical support
  • Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development
  • Contribute to the collective learning of Philips, seeking to share knowledge globally; assesses and shares repeatable processes that can be leveraged across multiple projects
  • Practice strong configuration management and version control
  • Execute activities as described in the Philips Excellence Process Framework
  • Be a key member of the implementation project and/or service team; fosters collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills and expertise
  • Drive continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback
  • Represent Philips professionally in both customer and internal team situations

You are a part of

Professional Services Delivery team, which is playing a very important role in the growth and transformation of Philips solution business. You will directly report to District Team Leader of Professional Services Delivery and cooperate with Project Manager, Integration Consultant, Clinical Consultant and sales team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, information   systems technology, software engineering, computer science or related field preferred
  • Have Demonstrated knowledge and/or advanced certifications in specific areas of expertise such as:
  • Networks (hardwired devices, wireless, routers, switches, firewall, VPN etc.) and Cyber Security assessment, consultancy, design, installation, network management and troubleshooting.
  • CISCO, Huawei network products and solution. CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or HCSE certification is plus.
  • Systems (operating system, virtualization, database, security, cloud)
  • Have previous experience working in a hospital, technical or customer service environment.
  • Have experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems
  • Have excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with customer.
  • Deliver required results with high levels of customer satisfaction, both internal external.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and efficient work habits. Able to self-direct and to effectively manage priorities.
  • Have strong organization, time management and planning skills in order to be successful in a role performing a wide variety of tasks associated with varying customer needs, and an ability to change focus quickly as demands change.
  • Be effectively structure problems, design solutions, which the customer believes and advocates.
  • Be efficiently coordinate project resources and tasks to create more leverage; enabling team members to focus more on customer deliverables
  • Communicate simply and persuasively to different customer audiences ranging from individual contributors to organizational leadership verbally and in writing, face to face, and from distance.
  • Develop enduring relationships with customers at all levels to ensure project completion, customer success, and more business; earns respect of team completion, customer success, and more business; earns respect of team.
