职位描述
· Have a deep understanding of BUs product categories – i.e., understanding how portfolio of products can be used by end users, installers, etc. and how they relate other products in the creation of applications and solutions; Drive the Category in sales and margin.
· Own and update the product roadmap (including business cases) for related BU, in doing so to distinguish between two types of innovations: Continuous core product & process improvement programs and MCIs
· For Continuous core product & process improvement programs:
– Receive inputs from regional commercial organizations, R&D, OEM segment marketers (if applicable) and market intelligence to define product renewals / updates / improvements / cost reductions for the product roadmaps for coming years
· For MCIs:
– Contribute to the preparation of the innovation roadmap for segments by making sure that the segment team is fully aware of the latest advances in the product category
– Understand fully the needs of each segment that I contribute to & translate this into the product roadmaps
– Ensure product development in the G/RBU is in line with the MCI plan created by the GSTs
· Once have completed a consolidated product roadmap for BU,
– Receive final consent of GSTs & BU MTs on the product roadmap and project portfolio. Have a binding commitment for the required resources / budgets in related product category, including priorities.
– Work with Supply and R&D, to translate this into a project portfolio, taking into account required and top down allocated resources
– Work with Commercial Organizations to prepare the market introduction
· During execution of the project portfolio, be responsible for program management, reviewing the progress in technical- and in market introduction- projects with the respective project managers.
· Be responsible for timely and proper product introduction
· In preparation for market launch: update product roadmaps semi annually (June and December). In order to do this,
– Share the product roadmaps with segment marketers and market cluster product specialists
– Ensure that >6 months before launch date, value propositions for MCIs are validated and have sign-off from CMO
· In order to introduce a new products quarterly:
– Provide regional marketing with confirmed business cases at least 3 months before launch and ensure order are submitted from markets via regions
– Orchestrate and coordinate the final upstream preparations prior to launch: final design and technical development, preparation of supply, and preparing sales support materials
– Support as requested regional marketing in preparing training and Marcom plans and the account plans for the large customers
· Be responsible for setting target prices per product based on value delivered and competitive/market intelligence (using a central database)
· Concretely it means that:
– define more broadly the pricing scheme/models for products recognizing cross channel implications
– have a complete overview of integral margin for the products split per region, channel, and product with an ability to analyze changes in integral margin across all three dimensions
– build a high level understanding of price sensitivity, both gathering and analyzing data to estimate new price points (i.e., based on elasticity) and providing input on promotional effectiveness
