POSITION SUMMARY（职位概述）

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will join a dynamic Design Center based in Shanghai that designs and develops medical devices for the global market. The successful candidate will work to define pilot line/ manufacturing strategy for products, work to ensure product designs can be manufactured at target costs/functionality, identify new equipment, technology, and supplier to manufacture products, assist in supplier qualification and execute process development work that meets regulatory and quality requirements while collaborating closely with team members from the other functions. The desired candidate will be someone who is a team player with a strong focus on meeting both internal and external customer needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES（主要职责）

1. Design Transfer leader

• Responsible for design transfer representative active participation in R&D from idea to new product introduction
• A leader in DFM/DFA assuring that production processes/equipment are taken into consideration
• Develop manufacturing processes and specs in support of new product introduction.
• Key participant in DFEMA, PFMEA processes assuring specifications are well defined and documented.

Assist in the process and Tooling Development efforts with an end goal of successfully completing Process Ranging, Characterization, and Validation.

• Provide input in the design, building, and implementation of new tooling in support of manufacturing changes.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES（技能）

1. A Bachelor degree in science or engineering with 8 (eight) years or a Masters degree in science or engineering with 5 (years) of engineering/manufacturing experience within the medical device or equivalent industry;

2. The above experience must include demonstrated practical problem solving, savvy communication, and project management skills.

3. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to perform the job's essential functions as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.

4. Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

5. Able to foster teamwork

6. Capable of persuasive communication in spoken and written English and Chinese

7. Strong project management, planning, prioritizing, and multi-tasking skills to work within tight deadlines

8. Possesses good technical and functional skills such as:

• Understanding of design transfer requirements
• Create & critique engineering cost analysis;
• Tooling design and drafting knowledge
• Design for Manufacturing and Assembly experience
• Have a good understanding of inferential statistics;
• Knowledge of polymers (especially those commonly used in medical devices);

9. Has good learning agility

DESIRABLE（优先条件）

1. Three years of engineering/manufacturing experience in medical device company

2. Understanding of regulatory environment for Medical Devices;

3. Experience with ISO requirements and GMP guidelines, FDA/NMPA regulations, medical device design control, and manufacturing scale-up processes a plus.
