The Power Home & Distribution (PHD) team is looking for a Brand-Labelling Project Procurement Leader in Shenzhen.

The position consists in driving new project activities and managing a supplier portfolio. Therefore, it offers the opportunity to comprehend several aspects of Procurement (OCP, Offer Creation Process and Operations) and Business (one Division composed of 2 Lines of Business covered).

Scope / Portfolio

Home & Distribution division, composed of 2 Lines of Business: Connected Living (e.g. smart home solution, wiring devices) and Final Distribution (e.g. circuit breakers)

The position is in the Global Supply Chain > Global Procurement organization

20 suppliers, 15M annual spends managed, 8~10 new projects per year (in average)

Mission

？ Contribute to new project successful execution. Handle OCP Procurement deliverables

？ Conduct market intelligence to proactively identify best suppliers and technologies available, and support the offer roadmap definition (act as "business enabler")

？ Drive productivity (negotiation, replacement of legacy offers by more economical ones, localization, etc.)

？ Develop cost model for finished goods (with the support of transversal teams)

？ Contribute to new supplier audit and development

？ Contribute to long-tail suppliers initiative (cutting/concentrating low-spends, proposing to terminate non-profitable offers, etc.)

？ Conduct regular business reviews with top-spending suppliers

？ Establish a network within the Business (e.g. with project and offer managers)

？ Able to work flexibly with teams in different time zone (especially Australia and UK)

Performance Criteria

？ Suppliers performance (productivity, delivery, quality, etc.)

？ OCP projects performance (spends with strategic suppliers, innovation, risk management, etc.)

？ Professional working along Schneider Electric’s values

Reporting to: PHD Brand Labelling Procurement Manager (based in Shenzhen)

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (master is a plus)
  
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement/supply chain function, with at least 4 years in in sourcing & supplier management role
   

Location & travel

• Position located in Shenzhen, China


• Regional travel in Asia estimated (25%)

Qualifications:

A highly experience purchasing professional you will demonstrate extensive experience within a multinational corporation including but not limited to:

- Electronic, Mechanical or Industrial background is requested (Essential)

- Software background is really appreciated- Substantial experience working in a project purchasing team environment within a manufacturing environment (Essential);
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supplier development and management (Essential);

- Good experience and knowledge of electronic components or EMS management (Essential);
- Proven strategic thinking ability; experience building sourcing strategy;

- Capable of handling multiple and conflicting priorities; effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced work environment;
- Well-developed, negotiation skills and the ability to influence at all levels;

- Strong problem solving and rectification skills;

- Highly developed English written and verbal communication skills in a teamwork environment.
