University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Audit Officer in Assurance Office.

Your Responsibility

Your key responsibilities include:

• Act as the first point of contact for audit related matters.
• Perform audit work to provide an independent appraisal of the University's activities to a range of interested parties both internally and externally.
• Review of University's internal policies and procedures and identify areas of potential non-compliance and identify the needs for change and development.
• Design and deliver training programs on audit and compliance related matters to colleagues and key stakeholders.

About You

• A Bcom degree in Auditing or Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of audit related experiences.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Chinese and English, and both in written and verbal form.
• Operate with integrity and discretion.
• Demonstrable understanding of the theory and practice of internal audit (and how it differs from external audit) and the ability to rapidly adapt to an internal audit role in the University.
• Proven skills of audit planning, performing audit work and writing audit reports.

Assurance Office is an independent office, and it aims to assist the University to prevent risks, seize opportunities and achieve its strategic objectives. Meanwhile, as one of the main streams promoting the global risk management strategy, Assurance Office is committed to facilitate the implementation of global risk management strategy at UNNC. The main responsibilities of Assurance Office are: providing supervision, evaluation and advisory services, with guidance from the Audit and Risk Committee, on the arrangements for risk management, control and governance, and value for money; reporting to the Provost and relevant Committees promptly on the issues identified during the course of performing assurance work; and monitoring and enforcing the implementation of the management agreed actions.

Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support

You will be offered a fixed term contract initially with University of Nottingham Ningbo China for a period of up to three years with effect from 1 March 2021 or as soon as thereafter. Salary will be within the range of RMB 158,914 to RMB 223,607 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance).
