Context/Scope：

This is a key position within the Diageo China Supply team. The incumbent will report to the Brand Change Manager for Diageo China based in the Shanghai.

 

The ability to grow Diageo business in China (and across Asia Pacific) is critical to Diageo’s global success. Current aspirations for growth in China are dependent on the expansion of Diageo’s portfolio in every market. This will be achieved through: Innovation, Renovation and new to market roll outs, all of which require substantial brand change capability. Extra focus will be put on Ultra Deluxe key projects like Master Casks Reserve and High Aged SR Limited Editions. In addition to the above is our drive towards keeping costs under control, and supporting the Supply Brand Value Enhancement agenda.

 

The scope of the role is to execute local brand change projects for Diageo China (including local innovation, local VAP/Gifting, SKU extensions and Minor Change projects), as well as the data related to these projects. In addition to the above, key responsibilities will be around local manufacturing and customization projects (sleeving and VVVIP sandblasting projects). This role will also support the Brand Change manager with data creation as required.

 

The role is both Market and Supply facing and requires a high degree of communication and interaction with Diageo Demand, Procurement, Planning, local 3rd Party Co-packers, Suppliers and other Supply Centres globally,

 

The role is based in Shanghai and may also require travel throughout China.

？ Packaging designed to perform well at all stages in the supply chain.
？ Technically innovative packaging solutions sourced for immediate or future use.

Qualifications and Experience Required
？ Degree level qualification or equivalent, ideally in technical area
？ Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, being capable of developing sound working relationships.
？ Strong influencing skills, and high degree of resilience
？ Strong project management skills with sound knowledge & understanding of the following processes
o Artwork specification and management
o Reprographics process
o Design and development of packaging and materials
o Materials handling, transportation and transit robustness
o Risk Management practices and techniques
？ Ability to develop sound understanding of Navigate process.
？ Commercial awareness and financially literate.
？ Excellent organization, report preparation and presentation skills
？ Fluent in English and Mandarin (preferred)
