Our Information Technology Generalist - Practice Support team focuses on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing internal applications, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for PwC to drive strategic business growth.

Role description:

Looking for someone who has 2 to 5 years experience in software development, either in backend development or DevOps engineering. You will work closely with the development team, QA team and the product team to deliver solutions to our clients. For this role, you should feel comfortable in deploying microservices or small applications in a containerized environment. Embark on a journey to build, test and deploy our applications as well as improving our software development life cycle. You will also need to support our cloud infrastructures and adopt to additional security control requirements.

Skills and knowledge:

• Graduate in Computer Engineering/Information Science;
• Understands the DevOps process flow all the way from continuous integration to continuous deployments;
• Some knowledge on network security;
• Understands Restful API and common integration designs;
• Knowledge of container technologies;
• Some experience with agile and scrum methodology;
• Ability to build and deploy applications through Docker containers on different platforms;
• Ability to build complex CI/CD pipelines that include different testing, security, building, and deployment jobs;
• Understands techniques for optimising, maintaining, and scaling databases (i.e sharding, replicasets);
• Works independently and is able to self resolve bugs and errors;
• Solid knowledge in different git flows, branching strategies, and release management;
• Ability to pick up new tools quickly and build rapid prototypes to demonstrate it's value;
• A strong team player, good communication skills to work with Development team and Product team.

• CI/CD Tools (i.e Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD);
• Infrastructure Provisioning (i.e Terraform);
• Configuration Management (i.e Ansible, Puppet, Chef);
• Shell Scripting (i.e Bash, Python);
• Databases (i.e Mongo, Postgres, MySQL;
• Cloud Providers (i.e Azure, AWS);
• Git Repos and Ecosystem (i.e Gitlab, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence).
