POSITION SUMMARY
Nature and Scope
The Team Lead on this position is accountable for IT Infrastructure Desktop Technical Support Services and Executive Support Services in the Asia region to ensure the streamlined operation of Asia Desktop Technical Support team (or internally called TSC - Tech Support Client team) in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will be the technical escalation point to assist regional TSC team to provide customer with second and third level client computing technical support of the Air Products PC environment with a focus on the Client Desktop including PC Operating Systems, Microsoft Office 365, Messaging, Network and Remote Connectivity, Viruses/Security, Network Printing, and Software Distribution.
This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the Asia TSC team. The Team Lead will work closely with other regional and global IT Leads to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure the team complies with all Air Products safety standards and meets the goals and targets associated with this
- Manage IT staff of Asia Tech Support Client team, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions
- Manage incident and problems for Client Computing issues that occur within the region. This includes escalation processes associated with significant and major incidents
- Manage Executive Support Services for the defined scope within Asia region, partner with global counterparts to deliver support services for global Executive events
- Manage Asia Printing Service as a regional Subject Matter Expert
- Partner with IT Service Center Asia team and provide training, technical coach and escalation to ensure IT SLA commitments are met
- Partner with other IT teams (Regional and Global IT Infrastructure Technical Support teams, Global Infrastructure Engineering teams) to ensure that we meet our SLA commitments to the regional and global business units
- Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Manage the implementation of IT initiatives to support business strategy
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws as well as enterprise cyber security
- Cover prime-time (Business) hours from Monday through Friday (local time) and on-call support for urgent situations on non-prime-time hours, weekends and holidays
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree or related experience required
- 7-10+ years IT Desktop Technical Support, Executive Support and leadership experience
- Proficient with Windows 10 Enterprise Desktop Support, Microsoft Office 365 client related support, Enterprise Network Printer Management and troubleshooting, Client and Software Distribution troubleshooting, Data Encryption support, Client Network and Security related support
- Familiar with PowerShell Scripting
- Strong customer service skill and strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and influencing skills
- Experience in working with global teams is highly desired
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications
- Good listening and creativity skills
- Any of below certified skills will be a plus:
MCSA - Windows 7 (70-680 & 70-685), MCSA - Windows 10 (70-697 & 70-698), Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator (MD-100 & MD-101) or other similar certified skills
- ITIL foundation certified will be preferred
- Experience with continuous improvement techniques preferred
- Self-motivated, self-starter
