University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Senior Knowledge Exchange Officer in China Beacons Institute.

    

    

Your Responsibility

    

    

Your key responsibilities include:

    

• Work closely with China Beacons Institute academics to identify and explore the commercial opportunities in knowledge exchange and technology transfer; Explore and increase the number of collaborative research grants; Prepare proposals for collaborative research and innovation activities.
• Identify and liaise with potential client companies and organizations; Promote the Institute’s activities; Develop and maintain strategic relationships with industrial partners; Promote Knowledge Exchange, and other collaborative.
• Develop Knowledge Exchange policies and procedures and administer the implementation and auditing of quality management systems.
• Support the identification and protection of potentially valuable Intellectual Property and utilize specialist technical knowledge and expertise.
• Support the exploitation of Intellectual Property through the creation of new spin-out companies and by technology licensing.

                        

About You

• You should have Bachelor’s Degree in business, management or related fields; Master Degree is preferred.
• You should be fluent in both Chinese and English and should have strong communication skills in written and oral.
• Experience of working in the Higher Education sector; Knowledge and experience of the commercialisation of intellectual property.
• Experience of writing successful funding bids, for example public sector funding, tenders and research bids.         
• Develop trusted relationships with external organisations and academic members of staff.

Focusing on Intelligent Manufacturing, Green Chemicals and Energy and Life Science and Health Care, the “Beacons of Excellence” perfectly matches with the development strategy of Ningbo. To expedite the development of China Beacons Institute, it is looking for professional, trustworthy administrative staffs with a passion for grow together with the Institute.

You will be offered a fixed term contract initially with University of Nottingham Ningbo China with effect from February 2021 or as soon as thereafter and will be on a secondment arrangement to work at China Beacon Institute.
