职位描述
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical service to our Solvent Extraction Chinese customers in Central Africa,
South-East Asia and China by visiting these customers on an “every two months” basis.
- Explore new application and new industry for Extractant
- Establish and maintain good relationship with Chinese customers during technical service
visit.
- Work together with Regional Sales Manager to convert competitive Chinese accounts to
Solvay.
- Develop close ties with Chinese mining companies, engineering companies and
metallurgical laboratories in order to position Solvay favourably to win start-up business at
new mines in overseas Chinese projects.
- Identify new targets and opportunities in the territory.
- Provide market intelligence, call/trade and technical reports.
- Understand and follow the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
- Provide R&I Group and the marketing group with information with respect to industry and
technology trends and new opportunities in the region.
- Write technical service report after each technical service.
- Participate in regional meetings and trade association meetings.
Education & Working Experiences:
- Possess a Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or Chemistry.
- An understanding of unit operations upstream and downstream from the solvent extraction process is preferred.
- 3-5 years Cu SX-EW plant working experience is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Creative and analytical thinking are necessary in order to resolve problems that occur in
the day to day activities.
- Demonstrate good technical and commercial sense with a high focus on value selling.
- Desire to build excellent customer relationships while promoting Solvay products to the
benefit of the customers.
- Good IT skill (windows,Microsoft office etc)Possess excellent writing skills in support of
information exchanges with customers and internal Solvay.
- Problem solver by nature, acting as first point of contact for the customer in case of
product questions or requests for support.
- Strong technical bias & proven ability to learn new technology.
- Strong communication skill to understand customer needs and building up trust.
- Must be able to communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Demonstrate an indendency and self sufficiency by actively identifying and tackling new
oppportunities.
- Be comfortable with working remotely.
- Willing to travel or be on customer site around 40% of the time.(including oversea travel
like Africa etc)
