MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION：

Local and regional implementation of the Global Medical Affairs strategy of APAC region of the BGM-EM business unit

• Close coordination and cooperation between global, regional and local functions.
• Result-oriented implementation of the measures in the tasks Medical Communication, KOL Management and Scientific Support

Alignment of technical activities in the region with the strategic objectives of Ascensia Diabetes Care

• Strengthening the professional standing of Ascensia Diabetes Care in line with the global strategic goals of Ascensia Diabetes Care
• Conceptual and strategic preparation of medical communications and KOL annual planning

Conceptual and strategic preparation of medical communication material and release of scientific material

• Medically professional project support for colleagues in Ascensia DC Marketing on the topic of diabetes (e.g. professional support in the development of med. messaging, creation of concepts and content on scientific topics)
• Medical and professional review and release of promotional material

Management of regional and local key opinion leaders and adaptation of annual planning to global guidelines.

• Definition as well as strategic and content implementation of KOL activities including management of symposia and advisory boards
• Support of strategic projects in cooperation with external stakeholders
• As a result, the KOL network is continuously developed and expanded at the scientific and political level (i.e. maintaining contacts and cooperation with professional associations / working groups and top 1 KOLs in the field of diabetes)

Medical and scientific support of the region and country organization

• Participation in scientific conferences, planning and organization of KOL contacts / potential partners for project-related cooperation
• Participation in regional or association meetings
• Creation and development of target group-specific specialist presentations and presentation of lectures as specialist lecturer / moderator

Training of Ascensia Diabetes Care functions in the field of diabetes. Create and develop target-group-specific expert presentations for internal and external use

• Medical & Scientific Support for colleagues in internal and customer facing functions (e.g. evaluations and provision of studies and publications, preparation of technical information on the basis of global medical news and specialist journals, topic-specific study research)

Management of local and regional clinical and non-clinical study projects as well as independent external studies (Investigator Initiated Research (IIR)

• Project-related management and professional cooperation in study projects with implementation

Travel activities required for collaborations with key opinion leaders, internal meetings, meetings with key accounts, authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Bachelor Degree or higher

? Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the field of medical affairs

? Experience in the diabetes field is a plus

? Experience in the preparation, explanation and strategic interpretation of medical /therapeutic contexts based on current studies

? Experience in the development, preparation and review of scientific presentations and documents

? Experience in project management and event management for specialist events, such as Advisory Boards

? Established network to KOLs and diabetic societies preferred

? Fluent English in literature reading, medical writing and communication

? Additional proficiency in another Asian language is a plus
