Software Project Manager

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be an integral part of the monitoring solutions development team and have the opportunity to work with the group of world-class R&D team who develop products that help save lives all over the world.

You are responsible for

o   To be a major contact window, participant in software requirements and software technical solutions discussion and definition deeply with other functions

o   Is responsible for formulating the (sub) software project plan, in consultation with management and other parties concerned on base of the requirements

o   Is responsible to organize the resources to be used (quality, time, allocation, budget and information), helps the team to organize and specifies the quality standard in the processes

o   Identifies the risks of the project (e.g. specs, costs, planning, etcetera) and develops scenarios to overcome these risks by defining corrective actions and driving the projects to closure

o   Coaches and directs project team members and gives them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally, including agile software development when applicable

o   Gathers and integrates project performance and progress information. Reports on the progress of the project with an agreed frequency on quality, status, time, and money to senior management and to the project members

o   Ensures that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge

o   Builds and maintains the software project organization, helps the team to organize, chooses or coaches on the way of working and selects the adequate tools (tailors the approach to the specific project) and defines the interfaces with other functions, internal and external Philips

o   Deploys process improvements, supports continuous improvement of teams and makes the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes and compliance to corporate policies/rules/procedures

o   Manages internal and external stakeholders

You are a part of

A professional R&D team with around 80 team peers in Shenzhen China, a key player in Philips global R&D organization.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills education and experience:

o   Bachelor or Master with 8 years’ experience and/or comparable longer product development experience

o   Experience with years of software requirement analysis, architecture design, fully understand software development lifecycle management

o   Experience with years of Project Integration Management, including project scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communication, risk, stakeholder management

o   Experience in Lean / Agile software development

o   With competencies of Decision Quality, Action Oriented, Manages Conflict, Builds Effective Teams, Communicates Effectively and Situational Adaptability

o   Strong sense of responsibility. Good communication skills, self-learning ability

o   Strong English writing and communication skills

o   Continual improvement focused, self-directed and creative

o   Experience with medical device development preferred
