Purpose of Role

Deliver high-quality, commercially orientated legal services to Diageo commercial and supporting functions.
Participate effectively as member of a team delivering all aspects of legal services.
Assist legal counsel with contested proceedings involving Diageo’s commercial contracts.
Assist in maintaining proactive counselling relationships within Diageo marketing, commercial, HR, tax, strategy and other corporate personnel.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities

Assist in translating simple documents and reviewing simple contracts;
Provide legal support and liaison with multiple team on daily legal operations with excellent problem-solving abilities as a business partner;
Assist in develop compliance training materials, arrange compliance training and keep the training records;
Assist legal counsel in conducting research, and make sure all regulation are updated;
Support legal counsel on administrative tasks; and perform other work assigned by legal counsel.


Qualifications and Experience Required ?

Around 3 years paralegal/legal assistant experiences in multinational companies in retails industry or reputable law firms;
Hold a law bachelor’s or master’s degree from reputable universities
Qualified and licensed lawyer admitted to the PRC Bar is an advantage. Project management experience is a huge plus.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills;
Superior ability to analyze facts and issues and keen attention to details.
Ability to quickly and correctly identify key investigative issues and prioritize competing tasks.
Strong ability to self-motivate and multi-task.
Written and verbal Mandarin and English fluency is required.
