Role Summary

This position is based in Shanghai China, reporting to Center of Excellence, PP Equipment Leader. The successful candidate will act as the key driver for the integration and development of the SEE Automation Solutions in Asia. You will be working with Technical Sales & Services (TS&S) and Commercial teams by applying Operational Excellence knowhow in designing, developing and implementing projects to improve productivity and efficiency for customers’ operations. As one of the integral members of our SEE Automation team, you will work hand in hand with the project lead interacting with integrators and customers to ensure end to end design be it hardware or software of automation solutions in Asia.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate Fulfilment Design and Engineering Solutions consultancy opportunities with relevant stakeholders to solve our clients’ complex challenges. Own the success of the integration on such customers’ projects.
• Collect data, analyze, prepare designs and present total solution for customers to comprehensively demonstrate our automation values.
• Prepare and present comprehensive SEE Automation presentations, simulations, proposals and contracts to our clients in collaboration with the local Commercial, TS&S and Marketing teams.
• Work closely with Commercial, TS&S and Marketing teams on project scoping, specifications, design, pricing, integration and coordination.
• Coordinate with project lead on project management, order fulfillment and installation execution to ensure project completion within timeline (Gantt) and budget.
• Identify local equipment manufacturers, integrators, consultants for possible Strategic Partners in the region.
• Liaise with customers and integration partners on solution’s technicalities including software (PLC, CAD, WCM etc.) and hardware, specifications and technical knowhow in automation space.
• Develop in-house technical capabilities by assisting CoE Leader proactively in creating training materials; and provide trainings to Sales team, Customers and Strategic Partners on SEE Automation as needed.
• Contribute to equipment sales & proposals, inputs for marketing of SFS, solution applications and competitor analysis

• Electromechanical bachelor with min. 5 years’ experience
• Industrial electronics specialisation in relation to equipment automation
• A-graded Electrical Licence and have excellent mechanical aptitude
• Abilities to design or integrate solutions utilizing Operational Excellence knowhow, CAD drawing and PLC command
• Demonstrated experience in electrical and automation solutions typically in Fulfillment, e-Commerce space
• Understanding of currently available WMS and integration program uses in the industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, in both Chinese and English
• Able to travel and be flexible with working days and hours
• Accomplished computer skills and MS Office knowledge
