For the NPL disposal and acquisition work:

• Perform credit review of loan files of banking clients for the purpose of NPL disposal and valuation;
• Conduct due diligence work on loan portfolios for the purpose of NPL acquisition and valuation for potential investors;
• Perform independent business review (“IBR”) on loan borrowers for the purpose of assessment of restructuring and recovery strategy;
• Assist in analysis of the NPL market;
• Assist in business development activities for NPL business;
• Assist in developing business relationship with financial services clients, including banking, AMC and potential NPL investors.

For restructuring / insolvency work:

• Analyse the business performance of corporate clients for the purpose of debt restructuring and restoring value for stakeholders;
• Assist in providing advice to stakeholders on restructuring and recovery strategies in distressed companies and distressed transactions;
• Assisting on the insolvency appointments including attending on site to take control of the assets;
• Gathering information, meeting suppliers, customers, employees and other stakeholders;
• Be involved in the asset realisation, creditor management process and statutory and other reporting in formal or out of court insolvencies;
• Assist in dealing with stakeholders and other professionals.

Resposibilities:

• Be able to complete assigned tasks independently, including handling daily communication with work level client contacts efficiently, data processing with high accuracy.

Requirements:

• Degree in accounting or business or related discipline with professional qualifications (including CPA and/or CFA);
• 3 years+ relevant experience in auditing, consulting or advisory work, specifically in the area of debt restructuring, corporate insolvency and/or NPL transactions in China will be favourably considered;
• Excellent financial and business analytical skills;
• Hands-on approach to unravelling commercial complexities;
• Team players, who work effectively under pressure;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (both English and Mandarin);
• Excellent written English and Chinese, including the ability to write succinct, well-structured report;
• Flexibility and willingness to travel, mostly across China, is a must.
