Main Activities :

ü Make braking system sizing for China projects, and negotiate with partners (Architecture, dynamic performance (CLDR) …) to get compromise before report to project.

ü Get the input data from French engineering dept. (functional specification, volumes, loads, process                constraints…). Get the quality targets to include in the ST.

ü Carry out the functional analysis and AMDEC (PFMEA), and set up the CTF list.

ü Set up the technical specifications (ST) for the component (check volumes consistency, application of PSA standard, numerical and experimental validation conditions …)

ü Prepare the RFQ documents and organize the suppliers consultation. Complete and check CPPR.

ü Analyse the supplier offers and propose a technical + quality assessment for level A/3components

ü Supplier Quality Management (SQM) : lead the ATP approach. Provide a quality assessment on the INIT meeting. Lead Q3P reviews, ensure the supplier completed ‘Foqu@lis’ tool items, and validate the Q3P milestones. Ensure the good identification of the CTF & CSE.

ü Manage the supplier engineering work thanks to periodical technical reviews (product design, tooling realization, validations, process lay-out…)

ü Update component development schedule, communicate towards Project Lead Engineer

ü Analyse of supplier technical data (drawings, prototype & samples reports, testing reports, product & process qualification reports,…) and provide the technical assessment

ü Request for assistance of Cast & Material Engineer to complete technical analyses

ü Guarantee the conformity of the parts (by leading audit on supplier site if needed)

ü Organize internal bench validations with support of France or local partners according to the project timing

ü Vehicle testing of concerned parts : manage parts samples supply, support riding team during tests

ü Ensure the assembly process of component on the vehicle in the final factory is acceptable

ü Lead the necessary product evolution: instruct ‘FETE’ with suppliers, update and release drawings (CAD/DiL process). Be aware of configuration of components.

ü Approve the process qualification of the supplier on site

ü Assist Project Manager to solve quality problems on pre-serial vehicles, and in production lifetime (move to JV factories needed)

ü Collect, record and share the technical documents all along the work progress

Give a feedback to French engineering dept about possible improvements of component technical specifications for PRC use – ask for completion the Technical Reviews check-lists.

Specific Academic Training: Chassis and Braking

Experiences: Junior Engineer : 5 years of experience in braking development

           Graduate Engineer : 2 years of experience in mechanical development in auto industry

Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written) is ok,

Behavioural Ability: Rigorous and with good technical analyse ability; good communication skills; good motivation of  

                                    working in braking field
