University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Director of General Office in China Beacons Institute.

    

    

Your key responsibilities include:

    

• Align with relevant UNNC policies and standard to oversee the general office administrative service provided to CBI staff which would include but not limited in the area of Research and Knowledge Exchange, Business Development, Student Recruitment and marketing, Human Resources, Finance, procurement, estates and IT.  
• Review CBI operational needs and standard on regular basis and ensure the service are shaped meet them.
• Identify and liaise with various levels of governmental agencies and research institutions, etc. to identify opportunities for continuous development and growth.
• Develop and explore strong collaboration links with government, industry, business and the community to fulfil CBI’s commitment to support industrials.
• Review progress and prepare CBI related reports on a regular basis and update internal and external relevant stakeholders including but not limited to UNNC and governments.

    

About You

    

• You should have 8 years or above relevant work’s experience in business, management, research project management and/or office management in a HE and/or R&D sector.
• You should have an extensive domestic and international network in relevant research and commercial sectors in support of creating successful partnerships.
• You should have proven experience within the areas identifying and developing business opportunities, commercial negotiation and successfully concluding new deals.

Over the past UNNC has been striving to build a positive interaction with the urban development of Ningbo, providing better facilitation of social and economic development as its mission. We are now extending the University of Nottingham’s ‘Beacons of Research Excellence’ programme into Ningbo to provide global solutions to local challenges. You will be offered a fixed term contract initially with University of Nottingham Ningbo China with effect from December 2020 or as soon as thereafter and will be on a secondment arrangement to work at China Beacon Institute.
