1. POSITION SUMMARY

• Air Products Engineering is accountable for driving competitive execution strategies through leading and managing the design, construction, commissioning and successful handover of ASU and Gasification plants to worldwide customers. In achieving this, high safety performance is taken as a given.

• The function of Completion Engineer is responsible for driving Completions using Air Products tools and work processes principally within Gasification area, but with some potential for involvement further commissioning and start up works like cost estimation, schedule, and other site works.

o   This is a site and office based role, it is expected that the incumbent may spend extended periods on sites within gasification project area in all over the world.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

o   To participate in Completions process in Construction and Commissioning teams of Air products gasification plants. To act as a power user for Completions management tools and interfacing with vendor and IT for resolution of issues. 

o   To drive the implementation of Completions process throughout AP projects and operations maintenance and turnarounds. Develop and improve the existing work process for site handovers, supporting systemized handover prior to Commissioning, startup and handover.

o   To be responsible for implementing robust training for users, data input quality, and user uptake and use of the Completions Management System. Work closely with site quality management teams, and ensure handovers, ITPS and work aligns with the AP gated handover process.

o   Periodically tracking the progress of completions implementation and feed back to construction and start up engineers/technicians for improvement.

• The incumbent will support delivery of the projects KPI’s, including cascading safety, quality and schedule KPI’s onto every individual as part of the CMS.

o   Working with project manager/engineer and start up team members to plan and coordinate activities of the commissioning and start up to meet project on stream date and budget requirement.

o   The incumbent should also work as start up engineer for gasification project commissioning and start up except for the completion works, these projects have wide range including multiple/single train of ASU, gasification and/or Purification unit, contains different kinds of gasification technology, CO shift, Rectisol, CO2 compressor, Propane/Propylene/Ammonia refrigeration unit. These projects could be in different countries.

o   Prepare the training Manual and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

o   Proven experience within projects delivery, relevant working experience in systemization and completions management activities in the oil & gas industry, track record of execution excellence & delivering results.

o   Experience with completions or commissioning tracking tools, GO Completions preferable.

o   Has proven interpersonal skills associated with managing a construction and commissioning work force. Special Interpersonal and supervision skills. Effective communication and reporting skills.

o   Knowledge of operations, commissioning, fabrication standards, procedures and QA/QC. Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on oil and gas related construction and commissioning projects.

o   Proficient in HSE management principles and its application in BSP.

o   Completions training advance level

o   Understand and familiar with company Completions and commissioning and start up procedures

o   Candidate should possess bachelor’s degree in related Engineering discipline. Chemical Engineering, machinery or mechanical majors are preferred. In lieu of degree, candidates should have more than 5 years proven chemical plant experience.

o   Candidate needs to have frequent travel, a flexible attitude to travel, sometimes on short notice and be prepared for extended periods away from home.

o   Candidate requires fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese are required.

o   Good communication with project management, construction and other function engineers to best support commissioning and start up.
