Purpose

 

This position is mainly responsible for Monitoring/Optimizing of China based Large Air Separation Unit (LASU) plants performance & sharing Continuous Improvement (CI)/Productivity practice with other Asia region plants.

 

Nature and Scope

 

1. This position will report to Industrial Gases Process Engineering Manager, Asia.

1. This Position should be mainly Interaction with the West China based LASU plants, China SPIDER and Functional Groups (Mechanical, Elect., C/I, Pressure Vessel…).

1. This position works with Line Operation (Both of Site and SPIDER), CI team and Business area together to drive regular plant productivity target. The position will support TGEE/ Liquid Bulk reporting owner to pre-verified idea tracker and provide technical solutions.

1. This position will be key person who will participate in product and project DHR’s, PFD, P&ID and OPDHR etc. This position also will serve as a liaison between the operation and engineering. Promote feedback via different approach to enable Global Engineering Organization (GEO) to avoid repeating problems.

1. For Operation plants, this position will day to day monitor responsible LASU plant process and Review & Approve eMOC (Class 1 & 2) related to process view.

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

1. Support the Operating LASU Plants on plant operating issues, provide trouble shooting and on-site support as required.
2. Provide process specifications for plant retrofit projects.
3. Work closely with the CI team and the Plant Managers/Supervisors to drive LASU plant CI/productivity opportunities.
4. Support the SPIDER to develop the Plant KPI’s & report to drive plant optimization and improved performance.
5. Coaching and training to operation team on technical capabilities.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

1. Job Incumbent is expected to have bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably Cryogenic, Chemical Engineering, Thermal Science or Mechanical.
2. A minimum 10+ years’ experience in Engineering and/or Operations is required.
3. Broad based technical abilities such as engineering calculation, process control and a basic financial background.
4. Communication skills are essential to the position. Credibility and respect across the organization is important.
5. Job incumbent should be prepared to travel about 50% of the time, mostly in West China with occasional trips to share workload from other business regions of China.
