Job Description

1. Develop MV related design project goals & objectives, feasibility study to design scenarios in line with marketing strategy and technical criteria.

2. Benchmark competitors’ products and technology. Analyze patent constraints to R&D activities. Find technical solutions to overcome patent constraints.

3. New technology & engineering techniques feasibility study. Strong collaboration with project team for new technology deployment.

4. Execute product cost analysis; reduce product cost through structure/part optimization, new technology application & local sourcing.

5. Ensure successful completion of assigned design job within budget, time & cost constraints, provide required deliverables to project during each project phase.

6. Define product verification plan considering various methods (simulation, test, assembly etc), organize prototype design & assembly process during verification stage, analyze & expertise to verification results to achieve design goals.

7. Strong support to product validation & certification to ensure the success.

8. Product/assembly/part drawing design & management following company rules.

9. Report to Project Design Leader regularly on work progress, cost, risk, etc.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

2. 7+ years working experience as designer for Medium Voltage products, with at least 3 years experience to take the major responsibility in R&D projects.

3. Familiar with MV product architecture & design principle. Have been responsible for at least 1 new product designs in complete project life cycle, CB/VI/Cubicle related design experience preferred.

4. Deep understanding of MV related standards, familiar with product application knowledge.

5. Good master of 2D/3D design tools, Familiar with drawing rules & design rules..

6. Understand the basic principle of simulation: electrical field, magnetic field, mechanism, thermal, strong sense of applying simulation tools for design investigation, good competency on analyzing simulation results.

7. Fast learning, wide mindset, technical focus & creative thinking, good team work spirit.

8. Good English skills both on oral & listening.
