RESPONSIBILITY: 

Responsible for providing technical expertise and project management leadership in leading and executing assigned electrical/control projects/works including: effective control solution development by applying a wide variety of control technologies, control systems design (elementary drawing and/or programming etc.), systems integration, control equipment filed installation and checkout supervision, control system commissioning and startup etc.. Technologies will include: System safety, sensor, instrument and measurement, PLC control, HMI, high performance drive systems, servo/motion control, SCADA/MES and industrial control networking etc.

MAIN DUTIES:

-Leads and executes assigned electrical/control projects. Provides technical and project management leadership and supervision to assure safe, timely and economical execution of electrical/control projects to meet applicable 3M and regulatory standards and 3M internal client specifications 

-Provides technical responsibility and leads electrical/control solution identification, selection and/or development

-Leads/conducts cost estimation for electrical/control projects

-Develops/provides engineering specifications, acceptance criteria and technical requirements for electrical/control equipment/installation related tendering and contracting

-Performs designs for electrical/control systems (such as elementary/wiring/cabling drawings)

-Performs programming, checkout and commissioning for control systems 

-Reviews, approves and releases engineering documentation, drawings and material requisitions to assure conformance to standards, specifications, budget and schedule 

-Supervises and monitors works such as electrical/control equipment assembly, integration and installation etc. and products provided by contractors/suppliers in assuring meeting of safety, quality and schedule objectives of project 

-Manages project spending in assuring completing electrical/control project within authorized amount  

 Collects, compiles and provides accurate electrical/control equipment documentation, such as engineering drawings, program codes, equipment manuals and technical sheets of commercial parts

QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE: 

Education 

-Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation, Instrument & Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. MS/PhD is a plus 

Specific knowledge and skills 

-Solid foundation in electrical and control design principles 

-Knowledgeable of PLC programming and high-performance drive systems design

-Good MS office; organizational and communication skills 

-Proficiency in English 

-Ability to work closely in a team environment. Demonstrates initiative, professionalism and a commitment to quality and excellence

-Knowledgeable of Rockwell Allen-Bradley/Siemens controls (PLC/PAC/DCS, HMI, I/O, AC drives, motion control, etc.) is a plus

OTHER REQURIREMENTS

-Ability to travel approximately up to 30% of the time
