JOB TITLE: Responsible Procurement Associate Manager - Natura & co
Division / Department: Natura & co Procurement
Purpose of role:
- The Responsible Procurement Associate Manager reports to APAC Responsible Procurement Manager, Natura &Co.
- Support the delivery of the Natura & co responsible procurement strategy, driving decent working conditions and environmental protection for in scope manufacturing and non-trade supply base.
- Work with TBS, Avon & Natura &co colleagues, traders and suppliers to embed responsible procurement practices, build capacity and manage compliance in accordance to Natura & Co sustainability strategy via a range of projects, activities and audit programmes.
- Engage effectively with external and internal stakeholders to understand changing external and internal landscape; challenge where needed; to maximise the impact of our sustainability work, support brand and group marketing, inspiring our staff, suppliers, and customers, driving lasting change within and beyond the group
Primary Accountabilities:
Delivery:
- Implement an effective supplier monitoring and management programme and due diligence activities to: Identify, review, report and resolve decent work and environmental issues.
- Support the delivery of Natura & co responsible procurement strategy commitments, focusing on the continuous improvement of decent working conditions and environmental protection in our supply chains, including supporting positive impact projects Provide support to teams across the Natura & co companies enabling them to deliver the Natura & co responsible procurement strategy through a triple bottom line approach to their daily work
- Provide support to buying teams and other colleagues where relevant through consultation and training on promotion of decent work & environmental protection.
- Maintain and manage relevant data and reporting on our programmes, ensuring that the business is informed and updated on emerging good practice on decent work and environmental protection on a regular basis, drafting relevant internal and external reports, and presenting to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Work with suppliers (including in scope manufacturing and non-trade supply base) to ensure their alignment with Natura & co responsible procurement strategy on decent work and environmental protection. This includes, data collection, developing and coordinating audit schedules, audit grading, corrective action plan development, remediation, capacity building and carrying out due diligence on new or potential suppliers.
- Identify and develop relevant capacity building initiatives, trainings and events both as Natura &Co and in collaboration with other stakeholders to further advance our programme.
- Ensure efficient allocation and management of Natura &Co sustainable procurement funds and projects.
Stakeholder engagement:
- To build strong relationships with suppliers, partners, traders, local service providers and other internal (e.g. buyers) and external stakeholders (e.g. NGOs, Trade Unions etc) to support and advance the reach and impact of our Commitment to Life strategy
- Implement remediation programmes if and when necessary, maintaining relationships with international organisations, local NGOs and trade union networks to provide assistance
- Actively promote the Natura & co responsible procurement programme externally in a variety of marketable activities as required by Natura & co and its brands.
- Be a brand ambassador for our Commitment to Life and brand sustainability commitments internally and externally, inspiring our staff, suppliers, and customers, driving lasting change within and beyond our industry
Other:
- Responsible for maintaining Natura & co’s commitment on sustainability including minimising the environmental, health and safety, people and planet risks in the workplace and responsible for reporting those to relevant managers
- To perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Journalists, academiaExperience:
- 3-5 years of experience of managing social, environmental or sustainability impact of supply chains
- Experience in an International Operations department, including Sustainability, Sourcing, Supply Chain or R&D
- Knowledge of international supplier management across different regions especially across the Asia Pacific region
- Experience with social compliance standards (e.g. SMETA, SA8000, BSCI, OH18001), carbon audit, energy audit or GHG reduction program
- Experience of remediation of on the ground ethical, social and environmental supply chain issues
- A broad understanding of labour and environmental law in Asia e.g. China, Philippines, India, Taiwan
Qualifications/ Required skills & abilities:
Demonstrable commitment to social and environmental sustainability
A Bachelor’s degree in law, development, sustainability, environmental science or other relevant discipline or comparable experience
- Demonstrable attributes of attention to quality, detail, ability to organize, manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Excellent data analysis and data management skill with an eye to the big picture
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to work independently under a remote team setting
Flexibility to working across time zones with European & American based colleagues
Fluent written and spoken English language skills essential, and another Asian language would be as asset ( Mandarin, Tagalog etc.)
Travelling (domestic & international) may be required
