V&V Manager, Verification and Validation Engineering

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be an integral part of the defibrillator Monitor development group leadership team and have the opportunity to lead a group of world-class, Verification and Validation Engineers who develop products that help save lives all over the world.

 

You are responsible for

• Managing personnel (coaching, mentoring, leading, hiring, performance management, compensation and resource planning)

• Will share time operating as both an individual contributor and manager of the team

• Managing the development of goals, objectives and strategies for the verification and validation team

• Coordinates and manages resources to meet detailed project timelines and milestones

• Influences and participates in the development of product and technology roadmaps and annual budgets, as well as delivering on project and budgetary commitments

• Drives and supports a culture of cross-functional teamwork and disciplined project structure and execution to achieve broader business goals

• Overall system engineering authority in matters related to system verification and validation, viewed as a V&V leader

• Develop skills and improve effectiveness of engineers on the team. Ensure communication is occurring both within the team as well as to other engineering teams and other functional areas.

• Assist with the definition of test criteria and ensuring test plans are completed, ensuring the design output quality.

 

You are a part of

The V&V Manager will be part of the leadership team in our defibrillator Monitor development group within the ECR Business Innovation Unit (BIU)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills education and experience:

• 10+ years of strong, verification and validation experience

• 3+ years in a technical leadership position

• 3+ years of experience with medical device development preferred

• BS in electrical engineering required, MS in electrical engineering is preferred

• Viewed as a technical leader in one or more areas:  product verification, product validation, quality insurance, standard compliance, reliability design and testing, and product development.

• Experience with verification for software and hardware.

• Experience with design process, CE, FDA preferred.

• Experience in medical device design and strong medical IEC/ISO standard preferred

• Continual improvement focused, self-directed and creative

• Strong ability of writing the report of issue analysis and presenting the report in team with English
