POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is an international producer of fine and specialty chemicals with more than 1000 employees and manufacturing plants in four countries. The products are used in agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fragrances, vitamins and more.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Relevant Part

• Director Finance reports to the General Manager BU Acetyls China with dotted lines to CFO Group
• He/she is responsible for local statutory accounts according to Chinese GAAP
• He/she is responsible for tax returns in China
• Reporting package according to IFRS
• Monthly/Quarterly reports according to Group Controlling / Accounting requirements
• Annual budget together with GM Acetyls China
• Control working capital, and in particularly cash Management (i.e. Managing Receivables/Payables, bank accounts, reports to Group Treasury
• He/she acts as Company Secretary if this role is required in China (to be checked)
• Local IT China together with Group IT Director
• He/she is responsible to ensure that the local IT Systems are functioning and are in accordance with local regulations and Group Policies
• Provide good counsel to GM and Group CFO on all local finance, tax and general business matters, working together with GM be seen as owner and driver of Group ethical standards and whistleblower policies

HR Relevant Part

• The head of HR reports directly to the GM BU Acetyls China and indirectly to the head of HR of Group.
  Responsible for establishing, developing and implementing fundamental HR and compliance policies in accordance with the Group′s International HR Policies.
• Ensure correct and timely wage payment as well as effective HR management and supervision.
• Establish and running integrated HR management system (personnel planning, recruitment, development & training, retention management, HR policies, remuneration, in compliance with the local conditions and law and in accordance with the company’s HR system).
• Annual performance review
• Salary planning & promotion
• Leadership and management development
• Being an employee service provider and advocate. Serving and being perceived as a safe, objective employee resource and escalation path for unresolved employee relations issues
• Responsible for establishment of People Development Measurements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experiences/Knowledge:

• More than 10 years finance related experience and minimum of 1-3 years experiences as a Finance Director; several years of experience in a MNC is a big advantage;
• Ideally accounting background big four (PWC etc.) with Chinese CPA degree
• Solid experience in manufacturing environment, manufacturing accounting, costing is a Must (minimum 5 years);
• Solid experience in local government regulations, Chinese business and tax law;
• Proficiency in English is a must (spoken and written),
• Familiar with ERP systems, proficient with Microsoft office package.
• Well-versed in employment related law/ordinances

• Contribute to and manage an excellent employee relationship.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with solid experience in building strong relationships with clients
• Be strategic, creative, analytical and with passion and can-do spirit
