POSITION SUMMARY

The focus of this role will be on planning and forecasting of the financials of BDX Greater China consolidated results, to support decision making and financial control in meeting financial and business objectives. The FP&A Analyst provides leadership on simplification projects to streamline financial processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.       Reporting:

a)   Monthly closing, assist BU partners to make smooth monthly closing for Sales, S2 and Opex etc timely and accurately

b)   Maintain monthly closing package

c)   Assist to drive report improvement to promote financial reporting efficiency and effectiveness

d)   Assist BU finance partners to prepare any further report required

2.       Analysis:

a)   Prepare financial report analysis against budget/Projection/Prior Year, such as Sales, GP and Opex etc

b)   Analyze FDS by BU/region

c)   Proactive risk management. Work with Finance partner identify the opportunity or the mitigation for any risk arisen

d)   Proactively work with BU finance partners for Ad hoc analysis and template preparation as requested

3.       Drive Strategic planning & Budget process from BDX China level with close coordination with Greater Asia & China Finance business partner

a)   Performed periodic financial estimation, quarterly projection and budgeting of the business/functions assigned, including providing insightful comments to key variances vs prior projection, budget and prior year.

b)   Communicate the variance comments to Finance partners, accounting teams

4.       Drive efficiency and effectiveness

a)   Deliver financial analysis and reporting efficiently and effectively to sales/commercial team

b)   Support BD3 BPC planning tool implementation

c)   Involvement in finance transformation

5.       Other work assigned by direct Manager and BU finance partners.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

1.        Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 3+ years financial work experience.

2.        Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

3.        Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions

4.        Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams

5.        Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements; able to quickly grasp new ideas

6.        Adaptable / Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

7.        Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others

8.        Acceptable level of computer skill: Excel, PowerPoint are must, BPC, Hyperion, SAP skills are preferred. Ability To automate various tool

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.        Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows

2.        Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner

3.        Graduate of a trainee program or graduate of other financial leadership programs
