MAIN PURPOSE
Reporting to the Cross-Border Travel Retail (TR) Brand Manager based in Shanghai, this position will support all assigned projects and is the internal go to person for the Regional TR teams.
This role is instrumental in ensuring the alignment within Shiseido TR and TR regions for the Chinese traveller activation and maximization. Key to this success is on:
- Building strong relationships with Cross Border and STR teams
- Enhancing brand equity and sales in TR by improving share of voice and set commercial KPIs
- Ensuring all brand objectives are realized and financial targets associated to the brand are met
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate Cross Border/ STR brand strategies for the Skincare brands with focus on Shiseido and Cle de Peau into concrete operator specific actions with a focus on digital
- Works closely with the TR regional teams in implementing all confirmed media plans, optimises and advises TR regions on updating relevant e-commerce website and retailer’s own channels, develops with STR brand teams’ campaigns relevant assets and content
- Ensures that all TR social media/ digital amplification campaigns for both brands in cross border platforms such as WeChat, relevant e-commerce website are harmonized within the full O2O ecosystem
- Supports TR regions on activating new and different Chinese traveller centric growth opportunities across the entire O2O presence for the brand and corresponding go-to-market strategies in TR globally
- Prepares monthly newsletters with regards to information and best practice sharing between TR regions and within STR organisation
Digital campaign implementation
Focus on annual digital campaign implementation for Shiseido and Cle de Peau by:
- Prepare campaign digital briefs, including creative idea pitch, digital media, KOL (KOC) etc
- Work with digital media agency to execute campaign and monitor campaign results with the view to optimise
- KOL identification and management (content, event attendance etc) by working with selected agencies
- Responsible for Always-On digital channel execution and performance monitoring
- Analyse campaign results and collating into one reporting template
- Identify optimization opportunities to advise Cross Border Brand Manager for further activation
TR dedicated social accounts management (Shiseido, CPB, IPSA & Elixir)
Support Brand Manager in:
- Maintaining TR dedicated social communication channels (Wechat, RED, Doying…) as content hub together with the agency
- Develop and execute clear recruitment initiatives to build up TR social community with the view to increase engagement and retailer conversion
- Develop relevant content and is responsible for working with the agency, brand and Cross Border team on content calendars, featuring TR new products/ TREX/ promotions/ etc
- Review account performance and advise Brand Manager on potential opportunities for execution and optimization
- Support on digital assets sharing and social content management
New Chinese-Centric Growth Opportunities
- Responsible for collating competitor and market insights to help identify future TR growth opportunities
- Share information on key developments in digital, media, launch activations internally and among competition in a quarterly report to be shared across TR and with Tokyo and Cross Border teams
Global Cross Border and China Domestic market team key reference
- Supports the Brand Manager in building and maintaining a close relationship with Global Cross Border team in Shiseido and local China market teams for Shiseido, Cle de Peau, IPSA, Elixir and The Ginza.
- Be the point of contact for internal TR digital stakeholders when it comes to asset circulation, request collation and reporting preparation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Digital expert with deep knowledge of the China digital media landscape
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English & Mandarin (Putonghua) – to include report writing and reporting translations from China agencies
- Strong relationship building and leadership skills – can motivate, lead and influence others with integrity to achieve overall results
- Commercially sound with a good understanding of reporting, budget tracking and ROI calculation
- Creative, problem-solving and able to think big and act in detail
- Excellent organisation skills, able to prioritise
- Solution focused, resourceful in the approach
- A collaborative team player – concerned with the team success as well as individual performance
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, good listener, will challenge constructively and respond well to feedback
- Self starter, high energy levels

- This position is based in Shanghai, with travelling required
