Qualifications:
Essential: Master's degree in Management, Business or related discipline from a recognised university; Highly specialised knowledge of a wide range of HR functions; Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communications skills in both English and Chinese; Advanced analytical and problem solving skills; Strong organizational skills; Good IT skills; Human resources experience with a specific focus on recruitment, compensation and benefits, budgeting, and HR processes and procedures development; Experience in a management or team leader role; Experience of working in an international company; Proven leadership qualities and the ability to take a high level of strategic view of HR issues and at the same time willing to tackle operational issues; Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Ability to maintain confidentiality; Ability to drive changes.
Desirable: Overseas study experience; Working experience in a higher education sector.
Salary & Benefits: RMB187,000 - RMB233,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To lead and oversee the delivery of the operational HR services;
- To work with admin/academic departments for the establishment of strategic short-term and long-term staff planning;
- To facilitate the development, approval and implementation of staff planning;
- To supervise staff recruitment activities and design appropriate recruitment strategies and procedures;
- To support the UK campus for international recruitment by developing and expending recruitment channels within and outside China;
- To oversee the administration of compensation and benefits;
- To be responsible for the administration of HR budget, and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to the final budget;
- To develop and implement best HR practices, procedures and processes to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness of HR services;
- To ensure the pay and non-pay budgets allocated to Human Resources Office are managed cost-effectively and are in line with relevant HR guidelines and regulations;
- To serve as an expert consultant and advisor to senior management, departmental managers, supervisors, and employees with the ability to independently and collaboratively solve difficult and complex human resources problems and/or issues;
- To produce and present reports to senior management on HR issues;
- To assist the Director of Human Resources Office in supporting the organization from an HR perspective;
- To assist the Director of Human Resources Office in the development and implementation of HR initiatives, identifying improvement areas, and coordination with internal and external parties for the delivery of HR services;
- Attend human resource related seminars and conferences;
- Deputise for the Director of Human Resources Office, internally and externally, as required;
- Other responsibilities that would be reasonably required.
