Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager-Power Supply

WORKING LOCATION:

Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province

SUMMARY OF CLIENT:

Our client is one of the world top 500 enterprises and she is a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive a complete mechanical engineering team in Shenzhen.
• Mechanical Systems R&D and Technical business development Support.
• Mechanical Technology and Product/Process DFx, DOE.
• Oversee engineering functions of the concept & development phases of a structured product development process for mechanical systems and components.
• Support the analysis of new products for DFA and mechanical process flow for effective RFQ processing.
• Trouble-shoot and solve technically complex mechanical design problems.
• Technical support of business development activities.
• Communicate customer product trends and associated future requirements with internal technology and development functions to drive innovation and value-add capabilities for Power.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; advanced technical degree preferred; 10+ years of relevant power supply products development or engineering experience.
• Strong independent planning & customer interface skills.
• Advanced training and experience with various technologies (Thermal engineering, Acoustic, 6-Sigma, DOE, etc.).
• Strong design knowledge of power supply/adaptor products.
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing at high volumes with direct factory support experience.
• Communications skills must include: Fluent in English to communicate on design presentation, testing results, Failure analysis, solutions, etc, to cross-functional with various engineering backgrounds both internally and externally.
• Written skills for various types of reporting including but not limited to: Data Collection/Process Control, Process Capability Studies, Quality Reporting per FSD, cGMP and/or ISO standards, Forecasting, Volume Projections, Actual vs. Predicted Production Performance and Quoting.
