Design Verification Engineer

Job description:

• The candidate will serve both as the system engineer and design verification role for development of audio/video technology based product. The candidate will be required to understand the product at a system level and define product specification, but also be able to debug hardware and firmware problems.
• Define product specification and design verification specification in English. Execute the specification plan and track tasks against project milestones.
• Proven capability to architecting test platform for verification of new technologies and/or product features.
• Conduct design analysis and make design trade-off. Strong electrical engineering and data analysis skills are required.
• Participate in design reviews related to design and performance matrix. Communicating product performance information to a broader cross-functional development team.
• Candidates should have excellent leadership skills. Candidate should be fluent in spoken and written English and possess good communication and team leadership skills.
• Proven ability to work well with worldwide teams and across technical, business and marketing groups is required.

Requirements:

• A BS or MS (preferred) degree in Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related degree with relevant experience.
• 6+ years (or MS with 4+ years) of industry related experience including the product design and verification of high volume embedded processor based consumer electronics area.
• C programming skill in embedded platform and MATLAB programming skill are required.
• Solid knowledge of theory and principles of electrical design is a must have.
• Solid knowledge of Digital Signal Processing theory is a must have.
• Direct working knowledge and design/programming experience of USB peripheral is a must have.
