Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To call on Distributors, Industrial Consumers, and Original Equipment Manufacturing accounts within assigned district. To meet or exceed sales budgets and operate within expense guidelines. Uses consultative selling approach and can properly design, recommend, and apply products to meet customer needs.

· Responsible for growth and account management and end market expertise for Distribution, OEMs, and Industrial Consumer account development within the assigned area.
· Consistently demonstrates the ability to build strong customer relationships through proper design and application of products and services and solving customer problems.
· Sales Results are measured by the accomplishment of market segment sales objectives and customer satisfaction measurements. District sales are tracked by unit, sales dollars and SGM. Compared to previous year sales, budget, and forecasts.
· Must be capable of demonstrating time and territory management discipline and be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Products are often custom designed solutions and the DSM is responsible for proper design and application of products that meet customer expectation.

Education and Experience:

Minimum 3 years of industry specific experience with demonstrated account management skills and expertise in applying products in specific end markets

Required Skills:

Position must have solid selling skills with specific experience in technical sales. Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills are required.
· Demonstrates the ability to develop and execute business planning and track results
· The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within assigned accounts, customers, and internal associates.
· Has the ability to work independently, guided by strategic objectives, broad business goals and policies
· DSM should demonstrate competency in selling skills and the use of a consultative approach to understand and support customer needs and regularly upgrades skill set with appropriate training
· Time and Territory management skills are required and a disciplined approach to Business Planning and Project Management are necessary.
