Position Overview: The Asia Pacific Credit Risk Leader will be responsible for managing the area of customer credit risk evaluation and escalation for all business units within the designated region. This position will be part of the Global Credit organization that has accountability for all Trane Technologies business units within the Asia Pacific region. Candidate will have leadership experience in customer credit risk assessment and mitigation. Must have functional expertise to provide input to the design, development, and operation of a newly formed regional Credit Center of Excellence team. Working with functional and business unit leadership, drive the adoption of new processes and procedures across the credit team, sales function and finance leaders. Individual will be expected to be a change agent, a self-starter, driven for results and able to work effectively in a virtual environment with a regionally dispersed team.

This position will report directly to the Global Director of Corporate Credit & Cash Applications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

? Key person to evaluate larger and significantly more complex customer credit risk reviews within the region.

? Responsible for designing a quality future state business process for new account risk assessment and credit line assignment that supports the region’s business needs

? Responsible for primary review, recommendation and approval of customer credit lines

? Responsible for managing the customer credit line review process for the region to ensure that the company’s risk is mitigated and at the same time complying to corporate credit policy.

? Provide guidance and the development for direct reports.

? Ensure regional portfolios are compliant with corporate credit policies for the region

? Lead a regional-level credit risk team who are aligned with business unit goals, corporate credit goals and at the same time support profitable sales growth and other business unit and sector initiatives.

? Manage Level of Authority (LOA) for regional credit team

? Provide Credit Risk training when necessary to regional team members, as well as business partners

? Visit customers & sales staff periodically to build partnerships and trust

? Familiar with Letters of Credit, bank guarantee

Position Requirements:

? Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field. MBA helpful.

? Must have 7+ years leading a credit function, including complex structures and marginal credits. This experience must include extensive customer contact, risk mitigation using various types of collateral and customer workouts.

? Must have experience with all levels of communication and show proven expertise in managing cross-functional team and leading through influence.

? Ability to design, innovate, challenge processes and acts as a Change Agent within the regional leadership team.

? Effective personal and interpersonal skills (including the ability to influence others, lead cross-functional teams, and drive new capabilities and new ways of thinking into the organization). Must be at ease interacting with senior sales & business unit leadership where we are making business decisions that overrides a prudent credit decision as well as the ability to defend their position when debating the merits of the transaction.

? Must be able to operate in a matrix reporting environment. Strong capability to partner and collaborate with sales, business unit leadership and finance functional leadership is essential.

? Effective communication skills (both oral and written). Proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required.
