ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Materials development:
Liaise and partner Merchandising Management and Design to drive materials development & innovation. Ensure the development hitting the individual market needs.
Products innovation and integrity:
Work hand in hand with Brands in creating new products with new fabrications, technologies or after treatments to ensure products innovations are at the leading edge.
Samples execution:
Managing sample development with Brands, materials suppliers and Vendors, ensure accurate execution.
Responsible and lead the Dev. Team for entire development process, include tech packs , sample approval , SMS materials booking and approval in timely manner.

Costing, Lead-time and Capacity management:
Responsible for open costing, ensure product develop to cost. Negotiate product cost with vendors, report gross profit to Sourcing Director for approval.
Negotiate and execute time & action calendar. Ensure products development meet all planned deadlines, required quality/performance, product specifications, profit margin goals and required garment delivery.
Manage and reserve capacity from Vendors/factories on both samples and bulk capacity. Ensure capacities reserved are enough in executing the business needs and flexible enough to cater for possible market change.
Business management:
Responsible implementation of developed quality standards internally and externally.
Liaise different functions to re-solve quality problems and claims internally and externally.

Inform business counterparts and her/his manager promptly in case of problems and work out solutions with suppliers in a timely manner.
Optimize business relationship with suppliers/vendors and ensure given timeline and result is met.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Minimum 7 years’ experience in fabric and product’s development job spec. Relevant experience in Japanese Golf apparel products.
Degree in textile design, textile engineering or product management.

Excellent in fabric technical knowledge & production processes
Strong Golfing apparel product knowledge, technical design, fabric and garment construction technologies.
Excellent knowledge on Sourcing, manufacturing and costing.
Strong negotiation, organizational, analytical and reporting skills.
Good communication skill
Fluent in Japanese and English. Good in written Japanese and English.
Excellent experience with assessing product quality and the capabilities of suppliers
Good knowledge of a product management tool
Result oriented
Strong Golfing apparel product knowledge, technical design, fabric and garment construction technologies.
Excellent knowledge on Sourcing, manufacturing and costing.
Strong negotiation, organizational, analytical and reporting skills.
Good communication skill
