Position Summary:
Responsible for the Development and Engineering of new and existing packaging projects to ensure proper function, cost, aesthetics, and on time component availability. Work with Global and APAC Marketing, Sourcing and make teams to actively plan and support the introduction of new products to manufacturing. Engage with Sourcing and work with component vendors to ensure functional specifications are met. Collaborate with Global Engineering team to grow a commercially competitive product portfolio within APAC.

Principal Duties:
Provide technical expertise to successfully develop new packages to achieve marketing/consumer objectives for each product launch within a defined category;
Compile & complete accurate component & packaging specifications;
Instigate and attend Line Trials and 1st production runs. Work with R&D to coordinate appropriate packaging testing. Report and resolve problems;
Conduct tooling acceptance trials and certify production standards;
Coordinate technical input and involvement from all areas of the supply chain (suppliers, sourcing, manufacturing, transportation and branch);
Gain full familiarity of production equipment and its capability;
Develop technical solutions to product development that seek to optimize end to end supply chain costs;
Develop and maintain knowledge of external technology trends so that Avon stay ahead of the curve with regard to innovative package/formula design.

Job Requirements:
Engineering /Packaging related degree;
Good English (oral & written) is essential as this role will deal with global/regional/local;
Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD an advantage (but nor prerequisite);
Familiarity with IT based New Product software tools an advantage;
Minimum of 3 years in a Package Development position within a FMCG environment;
Experience in Manufacturing environment or other supply chain functions an advantage.
