Our client, a European company, is one of the world's leading pump manufacturers, and is also a leader in fluid engineering. It specializes in two parts, diesel engine pumps and niche hydraulic systems.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Overview of role, any additional information regarding reporting lines, matrix organization etc, how this will assist the company moving forward / why is the position available etc.
• Report to the GM; Support the sales team; Define and develop the specifications of prototype and production parts; Communicate with oversea R&D;

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the sales team on obtaining new business opportunities; communicate with customers in technical aspect and add value in providing customer technical support.
• Review and analyze the customer’s technical needs and take the lead to prepare engineering proposal(s) in a timely manner.
• Define and develop the specifications of prototype and production parts that will meet customer’s requirements, in line with the marketing short-term and long-term strategies, and draft technical agreement with customers.
• Communication with oversea tech centers to get tech support and coordinating design, prototype and testing activities etc. Monitor and support the customer’s testing.
• Responsible of release new or changed drawings and engineering bill of material in system for the new project and production.
• Conduct technical presentations, training & seminars to customers and internal colleagues.
• Taking active part in technical issue resolution on customer complaints and returns.
• Other tasks assigned by the General Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• University degree or above in Internal combustion engine / mechanical / automotive engineering or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of diesel engine design and/or manufacturing technology is a must.
• At least 5 years diesel engine or components design or manufacturing working experience.
• At least 3 years experience in mechanical design including concept initiate, 3D modeling and 2D drawing, etc.
• Experience with Automotive Quality tools, such as FMEA, DVP&R process, PPAP process.
• Experienced in Auto Cad and/or Pro E, Solid works.
• Good negotiation, communication and personal skill.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Self-driven and results oriented.
• Quick Learner, willing to learn new skills and willing to teach others.
• Customer oriented and cost conscious.
• Willing to travel frequently
